Raw felt

Wool felted together so it looks like lambskin.
Every early summer; when the sheep are cut, the wool is cut off in a whole fleece - in ONE piece - and cleaned of hay, chopping and other dirt. I felt the raw wool directly as it is, but only on the inside, to make sure that the wool on the outside is not felted. Sometimes I put wool from different sheep together and other times I felt the whole shared fleece at once. The result is reminiscent of ordinary lambskin, but I call it "vegetarian skin" because the sheep do not have to die - they are still out on the hills - feeling good and next year they will be shared again.
